Here’s what happened in episode 8 “LOTUS”: Lucifer’s Newest Vessel. Lucifer is jumping from one vessel to the next in search of the perfect one. He needs a vessel that people love, adore and worship. The devil jumps from high- powered CEOs to archbishops to celebrities. Ultimately, his search lands him in the most powerful place in the country: The White House. Yes, Lucifer is eyeing the President of the United States as his next vessel. Within seconds, Lucifer is POTUS, or more accurately, LOTUS.
Also, the President was sleeping with a member of his staff named Kelly. Lucifer has no problem continuing this little affair. An Offer From The British Men Of Letters. When Dean, Sam, Crowley and Castiel discover that the devil has inhabited the body of the President, Sam places a call to the British Men of Letters. But he cuts it before he can say anything. The team heads to Indianapolis where the President is attending a fundraiser. Crowley picks of his mother and powerful witch Rowena (Ruth Connell) on the way.
She is just being ditched by her latest fianc. Surprisingly, Crowley explodes him in front of Rowena and her mother says that it’s the sweetest thing he’s ever done for her. Talk about twisted family dynamics! Meanwhile, Lucifer informs the head of Secret Service that two unstable men, who are part of some cult, are out to assassinate him because they think he is the devil.
Back on the road, Cas receives word via angel radio that an angel and a human have created an offspring. Given that creating a child between an angel and human requires a lot of power, he surmises that it is Lucifer who has created the baby. Lucifer is going to be a father, or as Dean puts it, “I didn’t know he was dating.”via GIPHYRosemary’s Baby.
The head of the Secret Service quickly locates Sam and Dean. Fortunately, Mr. Ketch from the British Men of Letter arrives just in time to make his introduction and an offer to the hunters: Join their organization since they are expanding internationally and get access to some cool supernatural gadgets and expertise. He even shows them a couple of toys including one that can remove a demon from a vessel. Dean and Sam see the device as an opportunity and ask to take it as a sign of trust. Of course, they are going to use it to remove Lucifer out of the President’s body. Once they reach the place where Lucifer and Kelly are having sex, Crowley quickly borrows her and explains the situation.
She is carrying the devil’s child. Of course, she doesn’t believe it at first but when her hand is burned by a bible, she starts to believe him. Kelly calls the President/Lucifer and tells him to meet her at the motel. Castiel uses mind control to ward off some Secret Service agents while the President enters the room. Long story short: The Winchesters use the device to expel the devil from the President and Rowena uses her magic to send him back to hell in the cage.“Supernatural” Season 1. Castiel taking Kelly, who has Lucifer’s baby in her womb, to a safe place.
But Kelly quickly ditches him and informs the angel that she doesn’t want to kill her child. Unfortunately, the final scene ends with the Winchesters being taken to a jail because they were caught attempting to assassinate the President.
